Does anyone remember these bouncy balls? We had them as kids and I never could master playing on one! It's time for a bit of Inspiration over at The Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog for our Challenge 167 which is ANYTHING GOES. This week and I've used this very cute image named Polka Dot Pals Sally.
I colored her with Copics and added a bit of glitter to the butterfly on her shirt.
Challenge 167 is entering it's second and final week so if you have a card you'd like to enter in the challenge, the time to do it is now. One lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS Shop!
I've been invited to be a Guest at Crafting By Designs for the challenge SUMMERTIME. I used this super cute image by A Day For Daisies named Ocean's Little Girl.
I printed the image on watercolor paper and then watercolored her using my Zig watercolor markers. The seashell die on the bottom also embossed so I kept the shells in the die and inked the embossed parts with a dauber and some ink. I used a white pearl paint pen for the dots over the seashells. Lots of glitter on my seaweed, and my favorite kind of glitter: Cool Glitter Ritz. The 'net' die cut is from Marianne Designs.
Thank you to Doris at Crafting By Designs for inviting me to be their guest for this challenge and thank you to the team for their support! I hope you'll join in the challenge of SUMMERTIME at Crafting By Designs!
Here's Edward colored with Copics and I added some silver glitter to the stars on the image. Now don't go looking too close at Edward's flag...or you'll see what I saw after I printed him...the flag is backwards on the pole! But I think Americans can forgive this error since the image is so very cute! The big stars in the corner are heavy cardboard covered in silver paper.
The red, white and blue ribbon was very different to work with. It was very stiff and felt like heavy paper until Donna at CDB said to use my bone creaser on it and it would soften it up and then it would make a great bow. She wasn't kidding! This double looped bow was easy to make with my bow tool! If you don't have a bow tool and like to make bows for your cards, you need one! It saves me time and ribbon since every bow comes out great the first time! The star in the middle of this bow is a piece of cardstock that I used a star punch and then used clear embossing powder over it.
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was six years ago. TodayBugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
The challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice, from Bugaboo Stamps!
I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!
Here it is, my Tuesday to post on Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog! I'd like to thank Donna, the owner of CDB, for this adorable rubber stamp and the two ribbons I used on this card. The Team gets to use whatever image they want for their own post, and when I opened my surprise package for the month and found this stamp, I couldn't wait to ink her up! She's by La La Land and her name is Sweet Dreams Marci.
I took out the sewing machine, again, and attached my striped paper to my polka dots and then my image to the piece of red paper behind her. This is the best sewing I've done so far and it's true that the more you do it, the better you get at it. And, a machine that's good on paper is wonderful! The flag on the left side of this card is three different washi papers taped on white paper and then trimmed. I'm trying hard to use some of the supplies I've accumulated and washi ribbon is on that list. The roses are from my stash of flowers. Here's a close-up pic of this very cute Marci. Don't you just love her bunny slippers?!
My bow is made with 2 different ribbons; a plain red and a polka dot ribbon. I love how this bow came out and the double "tails" are kinda' neat looking to me. My bow was made with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. What an easy time to make a bow with this littletool! Do you use bows on your cards or projects? If you do, this will save you ribbon and the most precious commodity...your time! Such an easy little tool to use and get awesome bows every time.
I hope you've been able to visit the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog and see each team member's fabulous projects that are posted each Tuesday! If not, please go here and scroll down! We'd be delighted if you left a comment, too!
There's a few more days left on our monthly challenge so please get out your ribbon, make a bow, get it on your project and join us at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!
It's time for a little inspiration at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog. I'm here today with this image Celebrate Balloons. I chose to do a CAS card but use lots of happy colors for this birthday card. I love plaid paper and this one is such a bright and pretty plaid that coloring my balloons to match it was so easy!
Challenge 165 is entering it's second and final week so if you have a card you'd like to enter in the challenge, the time to do it is now. One lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMS Shop!
I watercolored the giraffe blocks with my Zig watercolor pens and then layered them. I had this black and white giraffe paper and didn't like the white so I colored it with the same pens I used on the giraffes.
Have you seen the wonderful creations the Design Team has made to inspire you for this challenge? You've got just another week or so to enter the challenge of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog!
I decided to focus on my image this week and went ahead with a very simple card that will be a great one to put in the mail! This cutie pie is colored with Copics. And those are marshmallows in her hot chocolate! Don't you just love her reindeer slippers?!
I colored her with Copics and used an oval die by Spellbinders. The fan was made with a die I bought from Aliexpress and I cut out 4 fans and then substituted pieces of the die cut between the two colors! To 'fan' it, I used a small brad to hold all 4 pieces of fan together. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I made this pretty triple looped bow using my bow tool.
I colored her with Copics and sewed around each layer. The little hummingbird charm is from Aliexpress and the sentiment is from Whimsy.
The flowers are from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts. And the bow was made with my little bow tool.
Challenge 163 is entering it's second and final week so if you have a card you'd like to enter in the challenge, the time to do it is now. One lucky winner will be awarded a $10.00 Gift Voucher to the LMMSshop!
It's my Tuesday to post a card I've made for the challenge of ANYTHING GOES WITH A HANDMADE BOW over at Craft-Dee BowZ. For my card today I chose two images from Pink Gem Designs named Winter Chloe and Yule Log. Using the png files, I had her sit on the log.
I colored my image with Copics and used white snowy glitter. The snowflakes are made with Bo Bunny paint. The banners on the left side of the card were made with washi tape stuck on white paper and then cut out.
My bow is a triple looped bow and it tied just beautifully using my bow tool. Have you tried a bow tool to make your bows? It saves me time and money since every bow comes out great now. I no longer have wasted ribbon and I can make a great bow the first time I try with any ribbon!
The team has made some beautiful projects to inspire you to join our challenge this month at Craft-Dee BowZ where the challenge is always ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HAND MADE BOW. I hope you've followed us each Tuesday for inspiration and you still have a few more days to enter our challenge!
